Founded in 2010, The Clink Charity remains unique in UK prisons operating restaurants open to the public, an award-winning bakery and Clink Events, a prestigious operation serving the City of London from Downview women’s prison in Surrey. They also train in 33 prison kitchens and 2 Clink Gardens.
Their mission is to reduce reoffending which they do through training and intensively supporting people in and leaving prisons for careers in hospitality, food production and horticulture.
By providing education and training and through supporting people into employment post release, they reduce reoffending. In 2023 they trained over 800 people in prison and delivered 550 NVQ qualifications.
